Currently I like to run on a little path near my house. The
Homewood Shades Creek Greenway. I run early, really really early, when I can. I
love to start on the path when it is pitch black dark and run as the sun rises.
It never ceases to amaze and impress me all of the other people I run (and
walk) with on that trail. They are there with me, every size, every shape, and every
age – inspiring. And each of them has a smile, wave, nod, or breathless “hey”
(it is the South, after all). This morning even came with a safety shout out –
“Careful, there is water under the car bridge!” While my morning companions are
nameless, to me, they are never faceless!
